CRICKET HERE WE GO AGAIN!

Despite all of their potential they have achieved sod all for far too many years. One trophy in around 30 years is about their sum achievement. So will they actually do it this year?

Potentially they must have a good chance. They now possess six players in and around the England team and top Aussie Darren Lehman. All sounds well except that three of the best players including the admittedly injury prone Darren Gough are now contracted to England and unavailable for most of the summer for Test duty. Other younger players may come to the fore but this could weaken their challenge.

Last year they reached semi-finals of cup competitions and challenged for the title most of the year so surely success cannot be that far away, can it?

One of my friends says that he looks forwards to the cricket season by this time of the year. Yorkshire Cricket takes over from Hull City by the time our season's ground to a halt or rather fades away into mid table mediocrity. He gets more excited about the cricket season after the disappointments of the Tigers throughout the winter. Unfortunately by the time the new football season arrives more often than not the cricket team have also let him down, so roll on football. One day the cycle may change. Yorkshire may win something and shock horror City actually achieves success as well. We can dream can't we?
